Our Cooperativa would like to draw families' attention to an issue of great importance for the well-being, safety and protection of our children and young people: the use of digital devices (mobile phones, tablets, etc.) during school transport.

Recently, we have received several reports of inappropriate behaviour, particularly relating to the sharing or viewing of content that is not suitable for the age of the pupils while on board our buses. Situations of this kind are unacceptable and make it necessary to strengthen our joint commitment to promoting behaviour that is correct, respectful and appropriate to the age of each child, with particular attention to younger children.

Child protection and responsibility profiles

It is important to remember that viewing or disseminating inappropriate content, especially if it is explicit or violent in nature, can cause discomfort, fear, confusion and emotional distress in minors.

In some cases, such behaviour may also have legal implications, as Italian law provides particularly strict protection for minors from exposure to harmful or inappropriate content. Even when the behaviour is carried out by other minors, the law provides for educational and protective measures, especially when very young children are involved.

For this reason, the issue is not only a matter of good manners, but also of responsibility for the healthy and safe growth of our children.

The role of families

To protect the safety, respect and peace of mind of all pupils, we invite families to actively collaborate, in particular by:

•    talking to their children about the importance of responsible and respectful use of digital devices;

•    reminding them that it is not permitted to show or share inappropriate content with other pupils, especially younger ones;

•    supporting compliance with the rules of conduct when travelling on the school bus.

Commitment of the Cooperativa

Our priority is to ensure a peaceful, safe and respectful environment for everyone.

To this end, the Board of Directors reserves the right to take, where necessary, proportionate and appropriate measures to protect minors and ensure compliance with the rules of the service.

Such measures may include formal warnings, suspension from service and, in the most serious cases, reports to the competent authorities, always with the aim of protection and prevention.
